Individuals who share the university’s vision of consistent excellence and whose annual gifts to any area(s) at Maryland total $1,000 or more are recognized with membership in the Colonnade Society. Alumni within five years of graduating from Maryland may join the society with gifts totaling $500 and current students may join with gifts totaling $100 annually. Corporations receive Colonnade Society status with gifts totaling $5,000 or more.

Whether your gifts come through the Terrapin Club or a departmental scholarship, Colonnade members are the catalysts that energize the university’s implementation of its ambitious 10-year strategic plan.

Colonnade Society members are leadership donors who understand that tuition and state funding fulfill only about half of the institution’s operating budget and that much more is required for Maryland to operate as an exceptional public research university. By joining other leadership donors in the Colonnade Society, you help Maryland grow more self-reliant and resilient every day.
