Tell-a-Terp Call Center

No one unit on campus connects with more of Maryland’s alumni and friends than the Tell-a-Terp call center. Student callers make contact with thousands of alumni, parents, the senior class and friends of the university, which translates into ongoing communications and updates about the university. We are building a strong support base that continues to grow. Striving to become a nationally recognized higher education fundraising call center, we charge ourselves to exceed our milestone high mark of $1 million raised.
Nearly 80 student representatives work extensively from our call center in Annapolis Hall, throughout the year reaching out to the Maryland family. We go through thorough training that helps to broaden our knowledge of the university, its resources and traditions as well as our communication skills, and the importance of connecting with alumni and why they give back.
As full-time students and part-time callers, we work to support ourselves while securing Maryland’s future. Not only is our work through Tell-a-Terp one of the most personal ways to keep in touch with the Maryland family, but it is also one of the most rewarding jobs on campus in so many ways–great work experience, lifelong friends, connections with alumni and enhanced knowledge of all that is Maryland.
