Phone and Mail Programs
From our call center, housed in Annapolis Hall on South Campus, approximately 70 student representatives attempt to contact all 220,000 of our alumni on behalf of campus schools and colleges. Our student representatives are required to complete an extensive training program which focuses on communication skills, the university and its resources, as well as the basics of philanthropy.
In addition to our Phonathon, we also attempt to contact our parents, seniors and alumni through the mail. Last year we sent nearly 183,000 letters. That is six tons or 25 miles worth of correspondence dedicated to keeping in touch with the Maryland Family.
